The Lamond Vet Clinic’s story started in West Lothian in 1952. In 1993, after 41 years as a mixed animal practice, we decided to specialise in treating domestic pets only, and since then we have focused only on small animals, developing experience in breadth and depth and building our veterinary team and our facilities around the aim of being the best small animal practice we can be.
In a typical week Lamond vets and nurses will carry out 400-500 consultations, complete 50 surgical or dental procedures, produce x-ray and ultrasound imaging , conduct laboratory tests in-house and commission more complex tests from external labs. We’re proud to be able to offer more advanced services such as laser therapy, which can be used to reduce inflammation, reduce pain and speed healing for a wide range of different conditions. We are also able to offer a second opinion service for ophthalmic conditions, as well as taking ophthalmic referrals from other vet practices. Over the years we have never lost our original ethos: to treat both our patients and you, their owners, with care, commitment and patience and in a friendly manner, which, after all, is how we’d all like to be treated.
