Veterinary Services- Latest update 13/07/2020

We have been looking after the pets of Livingston for 68 years and we strive to provide the best service possible during these unprecedented times. We greatly appreciate your patience and cooperation so that we can continue to keep our staff and clients safe without compromising the health and welfare of our patients.

Which services are disrupted?

Prescriptions

PRESCRIPTIONS:

  • Our online prescription request service is currently unavailable so please email with your requests to keep the phone lines free for emergency calls: prescriptions@lamondvet.co.uk
  • Prescriptions may take longer than normal to arrive
  • Please ensure your contact details are up to date when you place your order. When it is ready to collect, we will email you to notify you and request that you arrange a collection time to avoid queues.
  • Please note, payment is required on collection so please bring payment with you and follow the one-way system and social distancing measures in reception.
  • Written prescriptions are available on request.

Vaccinations

We are now performing all vaccinations with social distancing measures in place.

For vaccination appointments, we are able to have one client accompany their pet. Our rooms are well ventilated and spacious but do not allow 2metre social distancing at all times, and so it is mandatory for clients to wear face coverings in these rooms. Our veterinary surgeons will be wearing face coverings and face visors and we have plastic screens fitted in our consultation rooms to allow low risk clinical examinations.

Please phone us from the car on arrival, and we will come and collect you and your pets!

If you have symptoms of corona-virus (COVID-19) or are unwell you must not enter the building. We will be happy to still help you and will discuss suitable arrangements to do so.

Consultations

  • Our online booking system will be unavailable during this time, so all appointments need to be made by phoning or emailing the practice.
  • On arrival please check in by phoning the practice from your car.
  • One client per animal can accompany their pet into the consultation, provided they do not have symptoms of coronavirus and are wearing a face covering.
  • We are unable to provide home visits during this period.
  • Some consultations will need to be performed via video platforms but will make arrangements to assess your pet in person where needed.

Opening times

Our opening times are unchanged, and we continue to provide out of hours provision as normal.
