Essential Veterinary Services- Latest update 18/05/2020

We have been looking after the pets of Livingston for 68 years and we strive to provide the best service possible during these unprecedented times. We greatly appreciate your patience and cooperation so that we can continue to keep our staff and clients safe without compromising the health and welfare of our patients.

Which services are disrupted?

Prescriptions

PRESCRIPTIONS:

  • Our online prescription request service is currently unavailable so please email with your requests to keep the phone lines free for emergency calls: prescriptions@lamondvet.co.uk
  • Prescriptions may take longer than normal to arrive
  • Please ensure your contact details are up to date when you place your order. When it is ready to collect, we will phone you to take payment and arrange a collection time to enable “contact free collections”
  • Written prescriptions are available on request.

Vaccinations

We are now performing the following vaccinations:

  • Puppy and kitten vaccinations
  • Adult dogs needing their 1st year vaccination
  • Rabbits
  • Adult dogs and cats whose vaccinations have nearly lapsed 3months
  • From Monday 25th May we are resuming all adult animal vaccinations due to the length of “lockdown” and the risk of local immunity dropping

Consultations

  • Our online booking system will be unavailable during this time, so all appointments need to be made by phoning the practice.
  • On arrival please check in by phoning the practice from your car.
  • We are unable to allow you to accompany your animal into the practice so we will collect them from your car. Our vets will discuss their findings and recommendations with you over the phone. Once their treatment has been given, they will bring them (with any medications needed) back to your vehicle.
  • We are unable to provide home visits during this period.
  • Except in emergencies, our consultations will be done over the phone or via online video platforms. When you book your appointment will be give you further instructions and discuss suitable options.

Opening times

Our opening times are unchanged, and we continue to provide out of hours provision as normal.

New clients

In order to provide the best service to our existing clients, we are not currently able to accept referrals or transfers of clients from other local practices.
