Since the start of the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak in 2020 we have been constantly reviewing our protocols. As a veterinary healthcare provider our hygiene policies always meet standards given by the government and the RCVS (Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons.) However, considering the current emerging threat and in line with “lockdown” we are taking additional precautions. These are to protect our staff and clients and reduce the spread of the disease.
In line with guidelines from the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, the British Veterinary Association and the UK government, effective from 24th March we are only open to provide essential veterinary services.
These essential veterinary services include:
Providing and dispensing veterinary medicines, preventative healthcare drugs (such as flea treatment) and food.
Providing veterinary consultations, which will primarily be delivered via online video platforms. We will examine animals at the practice if deemed necessary.
We will continue to provide emergency veterinary care which will include hospitalisation of animals and emergency surgical procedures.
We have been looking after the pets of Livingston for over 65 years and we strive to provide the best service possible during these unprecedented times. We greatly appreciate your patience and cooperation so that we can continue to keep our staff and clients safe without compromising the health and welfare of our patients.
